How It Works
Browse or Search

Download Settings File
Click “Download .clb” to get a LightBurn cut library file. Currently .clb is the only supported format — more coming soon.
Import Into Your Software
Open LightBurn, import the .clb file, and the settings appear in your material library. See the guide below.
Importing Settings
LightBurn (.clb files)
Quick reference: File → Import → Material Library → Select .clb file
- 1Open LightBurn and go to Window → Material Library (or press the library icon in the toolbar).
- 2In the Material Library panel, click the Import button (folder icon at bottom).
- 3Navigate to the downloaded .clb file and select it.
- 4The settings will appear in your library under the material category from the file.
- 5Select a layer, then double-click the imported setting to apply it. Always do a test cut on scrap first.
Troubleshooting
File won't import: Make sure the file has a .clb extension and wasn't renamed to .txt or .xml by your browser.
Settings don't show up: Scroll through the Material Library tree — imported settings may appear under a new category node.
Settings seem wrong: Check that your machine's laser type matches the setting. CO2 and fiber settings are not interchangeable.
More software formats coming soon.
Frequently Asked Questions
What is LaserCutSettings?
LaserCutSettings is a free, community-driven database of laser cutter and engraver settings. Users share tested settings for specific machines and materials, and anyone can download them for free.
How do I download settings?
Browse by machine or material, find a setting that matches your setup, and click the Download .clb button. No account required. The downloaded file can be imported directly into LightBurn.
What software is supported?
Currently, LaserCutSettings supports LightBurn .clb (cut library) files. More software formats are planned for the future.
Do I need an account to download?
No. Downloads are always free and require no login. You only need an account if you want to upload and share your own settings.
Can I trust community settings?
Settings are starting points shared by real laser operators. Each setting shows a community rating (Worked / Needs Adjustment) so you can see how well it performed for others. Always do a test cut on scrap material before running on your final piece.
Are settings the same for all machines?
No. Even machines of the same brand and wattage can vary slightly. Settings are organized by brand, laser type, wattage, and lens so you can find the closest match to your specific setup. Treat them as starting points and fine-tune for your machine.
What if my machine isn't listed?
Create a free account and upload settings for your machine. New machines are reviewed and added to the database. You can also upload via .clb file or enter settings manually.
